Xanax and methamphetamines ......

I'm wondering if Xanax can be effectively used to counteract the insomnia effects of methamphetamine use , and aid in sleep. Or, if it will worsen the effect in some way.
If it matters , the methamphetamine is prescription, but nonetheless illegally obtained, and is being used for weight loss. Last resort before surgery. Thanks for your time.
