In reply to Lexapro a new med, posted by Drmyrt on January 13, 2004, at 0:22:53
I am not familiar with Tentral, however, Lexapro does not have any significant drug-drug interactions with Coumadin (anticoagulant), Zocor (Lipid-lowering medication),Toprol (a beta blocker, or Nexium (Proton Pump Inhibitor for GERD). Of course, when you are on Coumadin therapy, you must inform your Coumadin clinic manager that you are starting on a new med so that you can get your Protime checked after starting the new medication to make sure that your INR (International Normalized Ratio) is within a safe and therapeutic range. Best of luck to you with Lexapro! :) Anne
