"I won't try Effexor because of all the horror stories I've heard about it. I suffer from bad anxiety and Wellbutrin apparently sends that through the roof, very agitating. Have never tried MAOI'S but may consider it, or may try to fight this thing on my own."

If you can't find something that works, I would eventually give something a try. Effexor is a wonderful med that once worked WONDERS for me in the past. I was on it at two different points and was able to withdraw cold turkey (doc never told me to taper) with no problems. Only felt slightly dizzy the first time I tried it and only on the first day. The second time absolutely no withdrawal. Your mileage may vary though.

Just remeber that you hear a lot of horror stories because people are more likely to post bad stories than good ones. I am sure a lot of people have no problems coming off AD's like Effexor or Lexapro. Either way, best of luck to you and I hope you can find something!
