Gosh James, I'm so sorry for what you've been through...unfortunately my husband can sympathize. I have been on Effexor for a couple of years, and starting about 6 months ago our marriage was in serious trouble. I even sought comfort from an ex via the internet. It wasn't until I discussed this with a newly acquired therapist last week that I realized I was pushing my husband away.

I'm relieved to read your story but saddened at how depression and it's medicine can work sometimes. Depression is very frustrating for those of us afflicted with it and sometimes we jump at any opportunity to take the pain away. It pains me to see my husband trying to understand what I'm going through, but can't.

I see my dr. next week and I'm hoping we can find a better drug than Effexor. Good luck James.
