Maybe instead of being worried about the emotionless side effect, you should be thankful? If my son's dad was in Iraq, I would be worried for my son's sake, plus any personal concerns that I might have alone... You are able to be rock solid and steady instead of weepy and afraid. Your stability will be an anchor for your child.
