Finally have access to a computer again, so am hoping to get some advice.
Thanks to the inspiration I got from reading this website, I decided to ditch my current PDOC (who is clueless and hasn't helped much) and look for the best PDOC I could find in my area. Over the past few months, I have spent a tremendous amount of time and energy researching. I narrowed it down to 3 and have gone on 2 consults so far with 1 remaining. In true OCD fashion, I prepared my own history (symptoms, meds, etc.) which I have sent in advance of my appointments. Both PDOCs been very bright and competent, but my hopes are highest for the last consult coming up.
The second consult I had, the PDOC stated he could not take me on as a new patient (after I was already there!!) but would provide a consultation and submit a report (w/ diagnosis, treatment plan, etc) to my PDOC (but not to me!!)
Question:
Should I sent the report in advance to the PDOC doing the upcoming consult? What about the notes from the 1st consult I did - should I send that in advance? Take stuff with me? Or is it better to have him completely unbiased from the other PDOCs. I definitely plan to send the history I wrote in advance.Sorry long winded,,,any help is really apprecited.
