I've been taking Wellbutrin for almost 6 months.
I started by taking 75mg. Wellbutrin SR once a day and gradually worked up to 300 mg. of the SR. I took (2) 150mg. once a day.
I'm not taking Wellbutrin Xl 300mg. once a day. It's a very good med. Like so many others here I could not tolerate the SSRIs. They made my symptoms worst.
As far as side effects go, I had dry mouth, ringing in the ears, shoulder pains, sweating, and jitters. In all fairness I'm not sure if the jitters was the Wellbutrin or just anticipatory anxiety because I was already feeling jittery from the anxiety. Anyways, I don't think any of these symptoms lasted longer than two weeks. The shoulder pain lasted the longest, an I only experienced this side effect whenever I increased my dosage.
I did not have insomnia, a matter of fact I take my Wellbutrin between 4-8 p.m. an I sleep very well.
Wellbutrin has been a God sent and has helped my anxiety and depression.

Unfortunately I could not handle the side effects of any of them. So he started me on wellbutrin. He told me I absolutely MUST continue taking this as I desperately need a medication to get me through this time.
