> Does anybody experienced similar problems on Ritalin at first...YES. i always tell myself i'll be able to fight it or handle it well enough, but it's so hard to realize it while it's happening-- and so often it's caused me problems (such as making my horrid procrastination even worse). And i am perfectionistic enough as it is. As much as i looove stimulants, i cannot STAND the overfocusing, the "difficulty switching from task to task," and the perfectionism they give me. i'm having that all this very night from about 8mg methylphenidate as i waste more and more and more and more time!
> ..."and find them improving uppering the dose?"
Absolutely not, unfortunately. The severity of these problems seems directly & positively correlated with the quantity of dose taken.
> I'm wondering if, given these results, uppering the dose would be a complete non-sense or could be justified. My actual diagnosis is ADHD inhattentive type, and I had OCD problem when I was a child.
