I know it's both a relief and a frustration, and I am both relieved and frustrated with you. I read a website once on IBS and it said that sometimes just knowing that there's nothing wrong can make a patient feel better. I thought, odd what doctor's think make you feel better. "You're having pain and distress but there's no way we can fix it because technically there's nothing wrong." Yeah, works for me.
However, if it keeps up, keep pushing your doctor. You can't go on this way.
And I'm not *in any way* comparing your situation to hers, but I remember in Gilda Radner's autobiography she kept insisting something was wrong while her doctors kept insisting there wasn't. Sometimes we know ourselves well enough to hold to our convictions.
Good luck, and put your husband on line sometimes. I have a few choice words for him. Hmmmm... better make it off-Babble. Not sure they'd fit the civility guidelines. (P.S. Next time he has you clean the kitchen when you're unwell, throw up *on* him. It might cure him of not believing you.)
