I have been on Lexapro for about six weeks, just increased my dosage from 10 to 20 mg ten days ago. Taking it at night has greatly reduced the fatigue, though I still end up taking a nap late in the day (down to one hour from 3-4 hours!). I am feeling better on 20mg, but not THAT much better, though my anxiety is almost gone (both Celexa, which I tried before this, and Lexapro are excellent against anxiety), and now the sexual side effects have really kicked in. I was expecting those (what else is new?!), but what I was NOT expecting was a side effect I have not heard much about with Lexapro: diarrhea. I have had what I assumed was a stomach virus for over a week, and it is seeming more and more likely that it caused by the Lexapro. Has anyone had this? Does it go away? I can't live like this--I'm afraid to leave the house for fear I'll get stuck somewhere without a bathroom. It's that bad. Plus it's no good for my health; I may be losing half my meds just from the diarrhea, for all I know.
The next question: what else is left?? I have been on everything. (I am BP II) Does anyone know when Cymbalta will be available? I'm praying for it to work on me.
