I had a similar time with Effexor the first time I was on it. I am currently on my second trial...a long story but anyway, I know the drug :) I went all the way up to 375mg per day plus an added thyroid drug as a booster. The general rule of thumb is that if you are getting at least some relief from the drug then it is working and you should stick with it. It's probably just a matter of tweaking the dosage a bit or augmenting it with something else.

I think it's wonderful to see signs of hope so soon. Don't be discouraged!!!
