after six weeks on lexapro (my 4th and by god final try on an SSRI), my internist referred me to a pdoc for a more complete evaluation and change of meds due to serious SE's. even though the *physical* SE's had begun to dissipate, the emotional problems were out of control. i'll refrain from mention any thoughts or activities that may be triggering for some folks, but i was totally out of control and had scared my husband (and myself) on more than a few occasions. mind you, the severity of my problems became greatly exacerbated only *after* starting lexapro. the only thing that saved me was .75mg xanax b.i.d. i don't know anything about seroquel beyond the basics. i am being treated for anxiety, as well as depression related to chronic illness (fibromyalgia) and have been perscribed 25mg b.i.d. scheduled to build to 25mg in the morning and 50mg at night. i did a general PB search on seroquel and didn't find much to help me. i was wondering if anyone had been switched to it from an SSRI (but not for insomnia or schizophrenia). or, if not, i'd love to hear anyone's general impression and/or opinion of this situation/medication. i stayed with the lexapro as long as i could stand it, and i'm going to try to be positive about seroquel, though i'm quite apprehensive after what i've been through. you guys always give such good advice and support so i would really appreciate any help you can offer. sorry to keep rambling. it's a problem i have. :)
