> BlondegirlREPLY: When I first began the medication it had huge appetite control for me. It took me about 5 weeks to kick the nausea side effect. Around week 3 is when I began to notice my appetite increasing a bit. I feel like I am getting back to my normal appetite now, yet if I overeat, I feel really uncomfortable. My weight seems to be staying down and I hope I won't gain back what I have lost.
The Strattera was helping me sleep really well at night until just about 5 days ago. I loved it when I sleep well, now I am having a hard time relaxing my muscles so my neck gets sore when I am sleeping. I am hoping this will pass otherwise I will have to start taking the muscle relaxers again.
Now that I have hit the 6 week mark, I am finding that I am getting alot more accomplished and I am not procrastinating as much. There have also been other improvements, so I feel hopefull about this medication. It is my first attempt at treating my ADD. I have never done stimulant treatment. Although, I have had alot of experience trying to stablize my oldest son with various stimulant treatments.
My husband also recently tried the Strattera but he didn't tolerate it very well, so the doctor switched him to Concerta (time release Ritalin). I have noticed a huge difference in his functioning since he switched to the stimulant.
