> I need help in figuring out which, if not all of my meds are causing my problem. I am taking Klonopin, Neurontin, Zantac, and Motrin and they all list dizziness as a side effect. I am awakening one or two times a night with a strange feeling. It feels like I have just been on a merry go round and my body has stopped moving, butI have that sensation like I am still moving back and forth. It is really starting to scare me. Which med or meds from my list are the most likely to cause a drop in blood pressue? I thought lowing my Neurontin would help, but here I am up again and scared from this feeling.
I can understand why you're troubled by this. Can I take it that this only happens when you've been lying down? And, has it arisen since a change in meds (did you recently add Neurontin, for example?)?
I'd certainly bring this to the attention of your p-doc, and if he doesn't have an explanation, ask for a referral to an ear/nose/throat specialist. Inner ear disturbances associated with e.g. vertigo are often caused by meds, but there are organic causes, too.
Sometimes the only way to sort out the cause is to change meds around, and see what happens. I wish there was a better way, but, ruling out an organic cause seems to be an appropriate starting point.
