Parnate and Blood Pressure

Posted by kellym on May 17, 2003, at 8:23:01

I have been taking Nardil for about a year now. My highest dose was 120mg. I reduced to 105mg for several weeks and was fine until I started feeling slightly light headed. Last week I just caught myself from fainting. From there I went down to 60mg as my docter thought my system was getting overloaded with the medication. All I can say from a depression stand point it was a bad idea (along with the "shocks" that accompany a change in dose) because yesterday it was all I could do not to cry. To me it's amazing that slightly less than a week at the lower dose made such a difference. Klonopin helped a little- but I'm going to go back to 90mg and hope it's a little better medium between the doses.

I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me their experiences between Nardil and Parnate in regards to blood pressure, dizziness, etc. I don't really now what to do if I still have problems at 90mg-the obvious thought is Parnate if I might have better luck in these regards.

Thanks,
Kelly
