1)Are the effects intoxicating or merely relaxing?
I don't want to be intoxicated, I just want relief from anxiety and an improvement in mood.I've found the effects to be nothing like GHB, really. Just very anxiolytic with some mild muscle relaxation.
2)How sedating is it? I'm looking for something that will ease anxiety without making me groogy. I tried L-theanine for this, and got a placebo effect at first, but have come to the conclusion that this stuff just doesn't work. I don't understand the good press surrounding L-theanine at all.
It wasn't sedating at all for me. Actually, it was a bit energizing. And I hear you about the l-theanine... I've even tried very large doses of that stuff with no results.
3)Is the anxiotylic effect similiar to alcohol's?
I ask because I dislike the effects of alcohol, even at low doses - so I'm hesitant to order something that will produce similiar effects. I've read that the effects are comparable to benzos, but I can't relate since I've never taken a benzo (well 5 mg valium once that didn't do a thing).I might compare the effects to a less-potent benzo, like Librium, but it definitely was not like alcohol in any way.
4)How long do the effects last?
5-6 hours for most people... GHB only lasts 3-4 hours.
5)Is there a mood-enhancing/anti-depressant effect involved at all - or it mainly anxiotylic and neutral towards mood?
There's a mild mood-enhancing quality to it, but nothing profound. More than anything, it seems to be the anxiolytic/energizing effect that helps boost your mood a little.
