Remeron usually plays a faily good role in improving sexual functioning, mostly due to its 5HT2 antagonism (which is of course the major culprit with SSRI-induced sexual dys.). This enhancing ability is also compounded by its alpha-2 antagonism. On the other hand, I've had heard a few rare reports of remeron inducing sexual side effects, although as to why, who knows. As for arousal, I found that low doses (15-30mg) were like other antidepressants in that they reduced or slightly dulled my sexual desire. But the higher I went, there was definitely a sexually-activating effect -- most likely due to the increasing adrenergic effect.
Hope this helps.
