Parnate is known to promote weight loss! Quite nice for a change after so many meds that put on weight. I've been on it for 1 1/2 years and almost immediately once it started working for me I started losing weight (I was extremely overweight). Part of it is from the med and partly because I felt better and was able to snowball the weight loss.
Anyway, once in a while I hear someone that gains from it - but in general it's supposed to aid weight loss.
