Agitation from Efexor and Risperdal. Need help!

I have a few questions. I've been on Efexor for 9 months and recently started Risperdal. They just don't seem to agree with me when taken together. Does anyone know why they cause agitation together? Is it because they affect the same transmitters? If it is so, would Seroquel have the same effect together with Efexor? I really need an AP and Efexor's the only AD that's worked for me. I'm desperate so please help!
