have to move from Effexor to Milnaciprin

Posted by dutchman on April 26, 2003, at 8:59:44

My mother-in-law has been taking Effexor 150mg for a few years now and it seems to be working. It is hard to say, since she not only suffers from depression, but also from memory-loss (no diagnosis of Alzheimers or otherwise known cause have been confirmed for that).

Now that we moved to Japan, Effexor (or any other brand with venlafaxin) is available. Therefore we have to switch to an alternative. Milnacaprin seems to be the only other SNRI available, and have decided to go for 100mg Toledomin (Milnaciprin) per day.

Does anyone have any similar experiences moving between different medicines like this...?

Thanks...
