I've taken both and my experience has been that Zyprexa quieted my mind, but stimulated my appetite big time. It took incredible willpower not to give in to the carbo cravings. I have seen and heard that people can gain like 30 pounds on Zyprexa and develop adult diabetes. I also found Zyprexa sedating although that wore off. I only took Zyprexa for a short period of time.

Seroquel, on the other hand, is like a mild tranquilizer for me. In fact, my pdoc has me on a low dose for sleep only. I have been on it much longer than I was on Zyprexa.

This is just my (one person's) experience. Hope it is of some help.
