I have done the chat thing too, I would be interested in yahoo again, but I would have to sign up again. I think it would be wonderful if we could set a time, etc. to do this!!!
Yep, it can be so fun and so helpful if we all made it work:-) Anyone interested???

Post a note on the board (probably the Social board is best) asking if anyone wants to chat at x time. Don't forget to put in a time zone too since there are posters here from everywhere. If you wait around for awhile at the appointed time someone will often show up.

Yahoo chat will seem to work fine on one day and not the next, and fine with some computers but not others, and I suspect phases of the moon may have something to do with it as well.

It's not a nice thing to do but everyone forgets now and then. Once and awhile yahoo may also make the stuff that you type disappear before they appear on the other persons screen. What you see on your screen is NOT a copy of what they see. If they aren't answering you they probably don't know that you are saying something.

Most likely they were just disconnected by the infamous Yahoo again. They'll probably come back if Yahoo permits it but sometimes yahoo doesn't. (And, of course, by extension if you are mad about something you need to say so - because if you just leave everyone will think you were just disconnected.)
