> Thanks.Gabapentin (Neurontin) has a shorter half-life than valproate (Depakote). The most common recommendation for gabapentin is thrice daily, but some even recommend four times a day dosing, where an individual exhibits loss of efficacy between doses. Gabapentin is absorbed via an amino-acid pump called the LNAA transporter. There is a limit to how much you can absorb at one time, and food affects that as well. Kidney clearance determines the blood half-life. Do you need references?
