I'm surprised that your doctor has not heard of it. It probably is safe for you to take SAM-e with Remeron and other antidepressants. And SAM-e can be effective, but the dosage usually has to be very high.
You might be better off at the present time concentrating on prescription drugs. Maybe you need more time for the Remeron to be effective. Or maybe a dosage adjustment. Otherwise, a different prescription antidepressant should be tried.
