What was your max dose - was it 37.5 mg, or did you taper down to that? My advice: don't discontinue abruptly if you must stop taking the med. Try going 24 hours between doses, then 30, then 36 hours, etc.

IMHO, it is entirely possible that you are feeling slightly depressed now that you stopped the drug, but I can't really tell over the internet. I did have similar symptoms with Effexor, though.

Not sure how long the brain zaps last, but they can't last forever, I hope. I have the same problem. My only words of advice are to go slow. Good luck!
