I think it's great that you truly experienced happiness after not feeling it in so long. It's very helpful to be reminded of your own joy.
I know a woman who started doing xtc on the weekends about two years ago. She feels great and then experiences a crash. She and all her friends experience it as well. If you do x for awhile or do it in large amounts, your seratonin gets depleted. The rapid release of seratonin in the brain is one of the main things that makes you feel SO GOOD while on x. But your brain produces only so much. It takes time for it replenish, and so you will experience a crash. She now knows the cycle, but still does x anyway because she loves the feeling. By Tuesday or Wednesday, she's in despair after a weekend x binge.
By the way, xtc does not drain your spinal fluid as the myth once said. It does severely dehydrate you, so drink tons of water while you're on it. And if you hit the crash part, don't be surprised. Maybe if you do x every now and then and in small amounts, this cycle won't start up for you.
But above all, don't give up your search for the right AD. The treatment for you is out there. A treatment that doesn't require you to be in a really altered state just to feel alive again.
