My homeopath suggested I take pyridoxal-5-phosphate, which is a "coenzyme derived form of B6" because it is better absorbed than the usual form of B6.
I have no idea about the veracity of that information. I can tell you that P5P is very expensive and the homeopath that suggested it also sold it. I now buy it at the local health food store. Recommended dose is 50 mg/day.
I'd be interested to know if anybody knows more about P5P (like, is it really better absorbed, etc.).
