starnge lexapro reaction?

Posted by babs on September 27, 2002, at 8:50:57

I've been on lexapro now for a few weeks and something strange has happeneed twice. After eating something high in sugar, i have vomited. The first time it happened I had eaten waffles with real maple syrup (haven't had that in ages, usually Aunt Jemima will do) and became ill. Horrble headache, vomiting, even the skin on my face felt like it was stretched too tight. Didn't assign too much meaning to it until it happened again last night. Making cookies, I ate some of the dough and same exact reaction. Vomiting, headache, skin too tight. Anyone have similar reactions? It seems as though I can't tolerate sugar oin the lexapro. I'm also concerned about diabetes because I've gained 50 pds. this year between celexa and risperdal and have had some hypoglycemic events.
