Thanks so much for answering my post.

I was on Parnate for several months. I started getting well about 3 wks after starting it, felt well for about 1 month and then relapsed. Even though I raised the dose and gave it a long time to work, I still didn't get better. I finally stopped it since I was really scared of the tyramine reaction and you can't combine it with many meds.

I wrote in another post that I get a similar response with Lamictal. I feel great for a week and then I relapse. It's so frustrating.

I think it's because my bipolar d/o was poorly controlled for so long that I've become harder to control.
