-The first definition of neurotoxin I happened to find:
A toxin that damages or destroys nerve tissue.-That doesn't tell us much, so how about this:
A substance, often exquisitely toxic, that inhibits neuronal function. Neurotoxins act typically against the sodium channel (e.g. TTX) or block or enhance synaptic transmission (curare, bungarotoxin).-An agonist is a drug that has affinity for and stimulates physiologic activity at cell receptors normally stimulated by naturally occurring substances, thus triggering a biochemical response.
-An antagonist is a substance that tends to nullify the action of another, as a drug that binds to a cell receptor without eliciting a biological response.
-I wasn't sure what mmpi meant, so I had to look that one up for myself:
