-The first definition of neurotoxin I happened to find:
A toxin that damages or destroys nerve tissue.

-That doesn't tell us much, so how about this:
A substance, often exquisitely toxic, that inhibits neuronal function. Neurotoxins act typically against the sodium channel (e.g. TTX) or block or enhance synaptic transmission (curare, bungarotoxin).

-An agonist is a drug that has affinity for and stimulates physiologic activity at cell receptors normally stimulated by naturally occurring substances, thus triggering a biochemical response.

-An antagonist is a substance that tends to nullify the action of another, as a drug that binds to a cell receptor without eliciting a biological response.

-I wasn't sure what mmpi meant, so I had to look that one up for myself:
A personality inventory consisting of statements to be asserted or denied by the individual. The patterns of response are characteristic of certain personality attributes.

-There are more personality inventories at
http://www.fpnotebook.com/PSYCh8.htm
I'll post more if I can find them later.

-DSM IV diagnostic criteria can be found at

-DSM IV criteria in Spanish:

I appreciate the comment on eloquence; I write everyday, and it is good to know that the practice is paying off. I'll see what I can do about enhancing the comprehensibility of the technical material.
