Hi Jane,

We all understand your frustration! With herbal remedies you could try yohimbe or yohimbe + ginko biloba, but I would urge you not to experiment on your own. You should suggest these herbs to your psydoc and take it from there. Yohimbe was the best herb for sex in my opinion, however, it's also stimulating and so you may not be able to sleep and it can increase blood pressure and pulse and make you urinate every five minutes... My psydoc has used viagra very successfully with women. Adding an atypical anti-psychotic, remeron, or serzone is another option. You could also try adding a stimulant or a dopamine agonist. Using ginkgo biloba long term at a high dose may also be effective. Unfortunately, drug holidays won't work with prozac but maybe you could switch to a different SSRI and try drug holidays then. You figure one of these, or who knows, maybe even a combination of these like viagra + ginkgo will be effective. There was a recent letter to the editor in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry about using Claritin for Prozac induced sexual dysfunction so you may even want to try that.

Good Luck,
Jon

I have dealt with this pretty well, for a long time I have been happy to be happy and thus not bothered by this side effect, until now. Its taking its toll on my relationship, even though my boyfriend is very understanding. I just want to have sex again !! I'm 22 not 102 !!!
