i hesitate to reply because i feel little informed. others here know lots more about this. i took ativan for a while on a daily basis and i really liked it. but if i missed a dose i got pretty crabby to say the least. by your saying that you don't feel like it's working do you mean that you are getting crabbier while maintaining your current dose, or do you mean that you no longer feel the "kick" when you take it (because that sensation wears off even though it is still working... that is, after a while you don't ever feel the "kick" but it still does what it's supposed to do.)

do you have a doc that you can ask if you need to up your dose? i know my pdoc told me something really helpful when i inquired how i was supposed to know when i was at the right dosage, and he told me that if it's relieving symptoms then you are close if not right on. if i started to feel like it was putting me to sleep, then i probably was getting too much. i have found that to be true for my experience.

i am now using xanax, but that's just because i responded better to it.

hope something in this was helpful. probably others will reply who know more. sorry things are turning down right now. hope you get the answers you need soon.
