Lithium for mono-/unipolars - how much percent ?

Does anyone have experiences augmenting ADs with lithium in mono-/unipolar depression.
And how effective is it in long term use (stabilization of mood, prevention of relapse) ?
The studies are very confusing. a new one says it is not effective for unipolar depression in long term use, older ones talk of good outcomes for 30-70%.
