Effexor has a short half-life & that's probably the reason you had more trouble with the brain 'zaps' but also the reason they lasted for a short time.

Celexa has a much longer half-life so the brain 'zaps' aren't as severe but will last longer. They, too, will go away but take longer, if they went away on the Effexor.
