I've always had really mild problems maintaining focus. Like I will look at something with one eye closed and it seems like it comes in and out of focus. It really never affected my life at all. I am a little near-sighted and this always caused problems in eye exams because it took me forever to say whether the next little glass bit (I don't know the name, I mean the process of fitting glasses) was better or worse. The optometrist would just sit there wondering what the heck I was doing, blinking and squinting and trying different angles of my head. It is worse when I'm tired. Benzodiazepines also worsen it to the point I thought I needed new glasses. Ritalin has seemed to make this problem completely go away, the effect only lasts as long as the ritalin lasts. I have also tried dexedrine and it doesn't seem to help as much so far, at least at the dose I am on. Don't mean to seem like a stimulant pusher, and have no idea if that's similar to your problem or not. -- kate
