> What is "pressured speech" -- you and I had discussed this in a thread who knows how long ago (you had said it was a symptom you had during a manic phase) -- my pdoc told me today that I had "pressured speech" during the visit, I asked her what that meant and for the life of me I can't remember her answer. I'm suffering mild hypomania these days and the very intrusive thoughts and distractability often prevent me from focusing on a conversation enough to actually *hear* the answer to a question that *I* ask. It's scary. Thanks!
Hi Janelle,
Pressured speech just means you probably have racing thoughts and feel a compulsion to talk very fast to divulge those thoughts. You may feel a bit hyper during these episodes. A lot of times you may want to interrupt the people you are conversing with inappropriately to share your thoughts.

John
