Dexedrine seems to give me lots of energy, but I don't want to go outside and interact and stuff. Since Klonopin knocks me out, I've only taken it about 4 times, and only at night. I just recently found out it has a really long half-life (16+ hours) So does this mean if i take it at night, the "effects" will still be there the next day?

I would take some Klonopin *every* nite as part of a regimen. That's what I have done for 2-3 years now. I never wanted to take more of it. I *do* take more of it (PRN)during the day-but it has a tendency to make me depressed (and causes some pretty bad cognitive sfx), so I avoid doing that. The parent drug is far more active than its metabolites (for various things), so if your SP sfx are fairly bad you might be better off taking one tab at nite, and then a half-tab midday. Dex won't do much for getting you out, what it *will* do quite well is facilitate conversations with strangers. In other words, when you wind up talking with strange people, it doesn't seem like much of a big deal-you feel a genuine *interest* in what they are saying, what they think and feel, etc. That interest and what they are saying is focused on more exclusively and your own negative thoughts are inhibited much better. It isn't going to do much for "free-floating" anticipatory anxiety-that's where Klonopin or SSRI works better.Mitch
