My reasons for discontinuing Nardil are somewhat similar to yours: weight gain, short-term memory loss, concentration difficulties, and fatigue.
If I go on Nardil again, I'll probably add a stimulant. I had some insomnia at first, but anything I added would cause hypersomnia (something with a short half-life, like Ambien, might have worked better). A decent compendium of the treatment of MAOI side-effects can be found at http://www.vh.org/Providers/Conferences/CPS/19.html .
Interesting that you mention the possibility of bipolarity... I've often wondered myself, but haven't had a decent mood stabilizer trial. I'm still not sure which to treat, the diagnosis or the symptoms.
Today I'll raise the selegiline dose to 30mg, hopefully it'll start taking effect.

P.S. - do you take the selegiline capsules or tablets? Brand, or generic?
