Hi Optimistic,

I have been taking Lamictal (150mg/day) for many months. I find it to be completely ineffective against anxiety and must take Xanax as well. In fact, I find it quite "energizing" (which is actually why I take it) and maybe even anxiogenic (definitely not why I take it).

Seems contradictory for something that is supposed to calm neurotransmission huh? I'm not a doc and can't say why it behaves that way, but that's been my experience with it.
