L-Deprenyl (selegiline) has a reaction with SSRIs and so do tetracylics (like Remeron) when the cumulative dose of l-deprenyl is beyond 10 mg/day. Beyond 10mg/day L-deprenyl loses its selectivity for MAO-B and starts inhibiting the reuptake of MAO-A. MAO-A is serotonergic and a combination of it and SSRIs would be potentially dangerous. That's it in a nutshell.
I would suggest that you find a doctor who will consent to Methylphenidate (Ritalin) therapy for your ADD because you have a history of it working in the past. Another idea is to add buproprion to your drug regimen, which would improve concentration and vigilance. As long as the buproprion does not cause anxiety problems, it is very tolerable and obtainable without triplicate forms and controlled-substance hassles of seeing your doctor every month to renew the prescription.
Best wishes for a happy new year,
