I use ephedrine regularly due to asthma, and almost constantly congested nose/throat (had this before I ever used ephedrine, they did some sinus surgery, IMO, it accomplished little). The reduction in dosages has helped mildly, without a significant reduction of energy throughout the day, so I am very happy with that (used to not be able to be this low on ephedrine w/o very low energy/motivation).

Well, it sounds like you need the ephedrine for your asthma, but that's good you've been able to cut back. I know about low energy/motivation. I just recently tried to quit coffee (migraines and anxiety) but, as I am starting on Trileptal, this is easier said than done (waking up SOOO sleepy). I made it about three days and the depression/anergia were so severe I caved in. I think it is about moderation and finding an effective dose that is low enough not to cause anxiety.MB
