Social phobia- Prozac, Zoloft or Paxil best?

Posted by 3 Beer Effect on December 10, 2001, at 23:05:50

I am currently taking 40 mg/day of Celexa for social phobia & I have noticed that by itself it isn't working very well for me for social phobia or depression for that matter. With 1 mg/day of Klonopin I noticed some improvement but now that i'm not taking the Klonopin, I think that improvement in social phobia symptoms was from the Klonopin by itself.

I know Paxil is the only FDA approved drug for social anxiety but that does not necessarily mean it is the best SSRI for this condition.

Which of these medicines seem to make you the most outgoing?
Prozac, Zoloft, or Paxil?

Also, has Paxil CR (Controlled Release) been released yet in the U.S.? (I checked on the Glaxo Smithkline Beecham US website & the Walgreens website & it wasn't listed.)
