Hi -
I think perphenazine is an anti-manic or anti-psychotic, isn't it? (ie; isn't it a tranquilizing antagonist of dopamine?)
If it is, then I don't think there is any doubt that if you dropped that med, you will experience a huge improvement in your sedation. If you are taking it for anxiety reasons, there are other options. For one, you might drop buspar, which is more likely to increase anxiety mixed with Prozac. Another is to switch from Prozac to Zoloft, Celexa, Paxil, or Nardil.
Good luck - but I really think the dopamine antagonist has to go first. There are few legal ways to better severely oneself.

> Been on Provigil now for about a month, and now instead of having energy after taking 200 mg at 8am, as prescribed, I have to get back into bed, and usually sleep from 9am to 11:30 am. Then up for about 3 hours, then back in bed for 2-3 hour afternoon nap, then in bed at 9 pm to sleep about 9-10 hours.
> I'm sleeping my life away, and there is so much I want to do.I been sleeping like this for years,(when I get a chance)(at work I just suffer with endless extreme fatigue... its a living hell....) and thought that this Provigil would be the answer to my prayers. (actually somedays I can actually get thru the day without napping), but these are rare. Does anyone know of any other meds that I can take so I can at least keep my eyes somewhat open during the day?(note I do not have narcolepsy) just extreme daytime sleepiness
> I'm also on Prozac, perphenazine, and Buspar.
