I think I kind of know what you're tallking about with the hot spots but am not totally sure. I'm also on effexor xr and have always had dry skin. But, a few weeks ago, the area between my eyebrows and on the sides of the bridge of my nose felt like they were on fire. In the middle of the night, I went to a mirror and it looked like a rash and was very warm to the touch. I put some lotion on it thinking it was just dry skin and it went away a bit. It kind of comes and goes but was never that bad as that night. If you're experience isn't similar, I'm sorry for rambling.

As for the sex/orgasm issue. I could not agree more with you. It is absolutely aweful and I don't know what to do about it either. I read a post that mentioned taking Ginko Biloba but that hasn't helped either. Let me know if you hear any thing about that. I'm thinking of posting a new thread about that.

good luck.
