At the higher levels remeron is thought
to be more of a norepinephrine booster.
Anecdotally there is less sedation at around 45mg.
It can make you a little anxious, but remeron
has something built into it to block a serotonin
anxiety receptors, so that kicks in some more at
the higher doses too.I wouldn't be afraid of tinkering with raising
the dose to 45 mg. You can even go to 60 in some
rare cases. If it doesn't pan out, drop it to 30. It
was my personal experience that I was less drowsy
at 45 mg and less depressed.
Remeron did make me a hair more anxious
at the higher dose. But that was me.....regards,

> Iam on 30 mg of remeron. Iam thinking of asking for 45 or 40 mg.I feel slow alot on 30 mg, like I have only so much energy. Boy am I lazy! Iam also on 2.5 mg of zyprexa but Ima quitting that because I cant afford it anymore. Would increasing dose of remeron increase my energy too much? I dont want to become anxious (I tried paxil and prozac and one of the start-up effects was agitation and extreme anxiety, I dont want that. )Is a remeron a serotonin booster at higher levels? Please info.
