"...After 25 years of the clinical use of doxepin, a prospective double-blind study with clear diagnostic criteria, sufficient study length and number of cases, and the analysis of isomers is required for the rational use and therapeutic monitoring of this drug. In the absence of such a study, a preliminary, provisional working range of 50 to 250 ng/mL is proposed, on the basis of critical re-evaluation of published data..."
