I appreciate so much your interest in trying to help and the drug info. Remeron isn't available in Canada but the others are and I'm going to talk to my GP about some of them and do some research on my own.
Sal, Kid47 and Janelle...a special hug for you!! thank you
T> Hi T. I think all the problems I have are anxiety driven also. I will nibble on a .5 klonopin all day & have been doing this for al most 2 years. Docs are so paranoid about the addiction thingy. I have tried 2 different mood stabilizers that seemed to have subtle but noticeable effect on my anxiety with little or no side fx. The first was Neurontin. I was taking as much as 3200 mg (4x800) with no problems. The other was Topomax. I don't know if it is specifically listed to relieve anxiety but it sure helped mine. Also it is a bit of an appetite suppressant for most. Some people have complained that the Topomax turned them into cognitive idiots, but since I was already an idiot, I didn't notice this effect. :) What a hassle but maybe a new doc might be more inclined to give you the medicine you need to stay well. Good luck. Take care
