Is adrafinil a controlled substance?

I would like to try Adrafinil, and my pdoc is willing to prescribe it, but only if we can find out for certain whether or not it is a controlled substance in the U.S. (since it's similar to modafinil). I'm assuming from the number of folks on this board who have used it that it can't possibly be controlled, but my doc needs some "official" proof.
Also, I know that some pharmacies are willing to sell it w/o a prescription, but I'm not entirely comfortable with that and my doctor is even less so.
Any suggestions?
