> i just took a pre employment physical and they say my liver has some problems. is there any relation with effexor and liver problems? i saw a few places that it does effect the liver but haven't found any solid evidence what it is. i'm taking 300mg per day and have been on it about 4 months. seems to work good, but at first was tough gettin thru the side effects. i now am trying to wean myself off it. thanks for any insight!

I have taken many medications that affect the liver. My liver enzymes are elevated. I do have some concern for this, but no doctor has ever suggested that I stop any of the medication. Tylenol affects the liver. So if you take any type of Tylenol or it generic, that could also be a reason why your liver enzymes are not normal. I have had to weigh the risks with the benefits. I opt to enjoy the years that I have left, than live a longer more miserable life.
