I felt that, if I hadn't found a med cocktail that made some sort of productive life possible by that time, it was past time. Your descriptions of your approach to psych meds, and your experiences with them, led me to request a trial of Geodon. On day 10, I can say that I'm scared to be this much better this quickly; I wouldn't have tried a neuroleptic without your posts. The fact that you found meds that worked well, yet continued to search for what might be even better, gave me that impetus. You make a *very* big difference.

My thanks to you, too. I want to think that I would have expressed my gratitude to John once I had convinced myself that Geodon is "for real." But, I'm very glad to see your post; it kicked my conscience into gear. How wonderful, after a whole year of such improvement, to come back to say thanks again. Hope--and gratitude--are beautiful to behold.
I have Asperger's, too--something I learned from this board (dj's posts). I no longer bother to castigate myself for never "getting it right" when it comes to communicating with, and relating to other people. In the past, whenever I embarassed myself (which was just about whenever I made contact), I apologized and withdrew. But, the longer I postponed things, the worse my results. Now, with right meds, maybe I can at least screw things up differently. (And I'm slowly training my kids to give me points for trying, however badly.)
I don't know--this "communication" doesn't sound too coherent; but, if I try to fix it, I'll never post it. I'm sorry---medlib
